Azlan
Targeted States: The radical Chicano movement wants to
carve out a huge section of the United States for a new homeland called "La
Republica Del Norte" or "Aztlan." The boundaries have not
been precisely defined, but the states shown above Mexico have been targeted for
inclusion, in whole or in part. While creating Aztlan is unlikely,
agitation for Aztlan will further weaken the U.S. -Mexican border and put
more impetus behind the subversive drive to amalgamate the North American and
Latin American worlds under the Free Trade Area of the Americans.
